  • Text: Le Perroquet. / L’oiseau représenté ci-dessus est de l’espèce que les naturalistes désignent sous le nom de Perroquet à la houpe. / C’est la plus bavarde. Ce volatile ne se contente pas, comme les autres perroquets, les sansonnets et les pies-borgnes, de répeter / ce qu’il a entendu dire; il y ajoute encore de son crû, cequi fait un fort, vilain ramage. Personne n’est à l’abri de ses / coups de bec, et sa proie peut d’autant moins facilement lui échapper qu’il a pour habitude de la saisir par les cheveux. / Le Perroquet à la houpe écorche à la fois les mentons et les oreilles. En volant de maison en maison, il rase les/ réputations du quartier.
