Copy after Philips Galle's engraving for a 1572 edition of the series of portraits 'Virorum Doctorum de Disciplinis benemerentium Effigies XLIIII', reverse direction. Plate numbered lower right corner: 11 (and A5 from the lettering on the second state of Galle's print). Latin in margin 'Bemeb decus clarum... non minor eloquijs'.
