Description

Tin-glazed earthenware plate painted in blue with a kiln in a landscape

Buff earthenware, moulded, tin-glazed bluish-white and painted in blue. Circular with a steeply sloping rim, curved sides and flat base. The middle is painted with a smoking kiln between two lower buildings. On the left there is a plant and on the right, and to the right and below, a rock, fence and foliage. Two groups of schematic birds fly overhead. There are three peg marks on the reverse of the rim.
