Description

Tin-glazed earthenware plate painted in polychrome with stylized plants

Buff earthenware, tin-glazed greyish-white, and painted in blue, green, dull red and manganese-purple. Circular with a steeply sloping rim, curved sides and flat base (Archer's Shape I). The middle is painted with three red flowers with green and blue foliage. The rim has stylized foliage in green, blue and manganese radiating inwards from the edge. There are three peg marks on the underside of the rim.
