Pottery: Unidentified Bristol pottery
Buff earthenware, tin-glazed greyish-white on the front and painted and sponged in manganese-purple; reverse unglazed. Square. Circular medallion framed by two concentric circles enclosing a tall lady wearing hat and wide skirt facing to the right towards a sponged tree and a house. On the left there is a larger sponged tree, and in the distance two smaller trees, and overhead clouds and four birds. In each of the four corners there is a stylized flower head.
