A neo-classical fan

The silk leaf is set with three stipple engravings printed in colour, all on silk, the reserves painted with Pompeian decorations and sequins. In the centre is a classical allegory, of a seated figure of a woman and two putti preparing garlands of flowers. To the left of the image two figures approach. To the right of seated figure stands male lover with cupid behind.
The ivory sticks pierced and fretted, and chased with silver and gold.
