Gauze leaf hand painted with flora and fauna, and decorated with three applied stipple medallions in the 'Pompeian Style'. The central oval is after the celebrated painting by Sir Joshua Reynolds. The leaf is on pierced and fretted ivory sticks and guards painted to imitate Wedgwood Jasper plaques.
