Description

Folding fan. Designed with allegories of Spain and the Americas shaking hands over an altar upon which '12 Patria 1820' is written. Ships at sea to the left, fighting, rioting, and a burning building to the right.
Aquatint and hand coloured stipple engraving on pierced ivory sticks with tortoiseshell filet. English leaf with French sticks.
