Description

Folding fan, depicting a young gentleman in Turkish costume, after Samuel Shelley. The reserves and surround have a chain of ribbon, flowers and feathers, with a spangle decoration.
Stipple engraving and painting on carved ivory sticks. English leaf circa 1790, Italian sticks circa 1720. Possibly by Francisco Bartolozzi
