Church of Il Spirito Santo, Messina
Printmaker: Brangwyn, Frank
Based on a sketch made in Messina. The church in question is background right, the foreground being dominated by large ruined buildings, with figures clambering over debris. Dramatic cloudy sky. Almost three dimensional quality to work, and great use of light and shade.
