Valentine card
Printmaker: Mansell, Joseph
A small valentine of gilded lace-paper with central oval frame of buff-coloured lace-paper mounted on paper springs (one missing) and overmounted with an embossed, chromolithograph flower garland. View through to a central panel of blue paper mounted with a die-cut chromolithograph of a putto with a flower garland. A cut-paper motto with gilt edge mounted at lower centre: 'I LIVE FOR THEE'. 'MANSELL' blind-stamped onto the blue paper at lower centre.
