Description

Loose within album P.14347-R. A hand-coloured lithograph on 4to-sized wove paper. A border of stylised flowers, stems and a shell surrounds a vignette at upper centre of a couple embracing on a garden bench. A printed verse below begins with an illuminated letter decorated with a Cupid and two doves: "Ah! Love was never yet without / The pang, the agony, the doubt; …". Inscribed in pen and ink at upper right: "3/6" [3 shillings and sixpence]. The inside pages are blank.
