"To tell thee of my passion true, / Of all that I have felt for you…"
Printmaker: Unknown
Loose within album P.14347-R. A lithograph on 4to-sized white wove paper. A central, hand-coloured vignette shows a lady wearing a bonnet and a blue and orange dress with a tiered skirt and broad diagonal stripes (c. 1850s) stretching out her right hand to receive a letter from a white dove which flies in from the left. A printed verse above and below the image: "To tell thee of my passion true, / Of all that I have felt for you: …". Creasemarks in the paper indicate that it has been folded several times to form a small square. The interior is blank.
