Glasshouse: Unidentified English glasshouse



Clear lead-glass. The round-funnel bowl is supported by a stem with a large ball knop, a tapering plain section and a smaller basal knop, rising from a conical foot with a folded foot.


History note: Howard Phillips, London from whom purchased in May 1982 , by Sir Ivor Batchelor, CBE; Sir Ivor and Lady Batchelor, St Andrew's, Fife; Sir Ivor died on 24 April 2005; on loan since 2006 (Syndicate of 30 January)
