Clear lead-glass, blown and decorated with white enamel combed trailing. The candlesticks are of the same hollow form. The foot and stem is of inverted trumpet shape with two knops above, supporting a larger globular knop, with a smaller knop above below the narrow nozzle with everted rim. They are decorated overall with opaque white combed trailing


History note: Howard Phillips, 11a Henrietta Place, London, from whom purchased, May, 1989; Sir Ivor and Lady Batchlor, St Andrew's Fife; Sir Ivor died on 24 April 2005; on loan since 2006 (Syndicate of 30 January)
