Glasshouse: La Granja de San Ildefonso glasshouse
Clear glass tumbler or beaker, with gold decoration. The glass has a flat base, and sides which slope gently outwards towards the rim. On one side there is a scrolled cartouche inscribed 'La Marquesa/ de/ Alcocevar'. This is linked by slender swags to a bird perching on a two-handled vase flanked by birds perching on leaves. In the spaces on the sides there are small scattered sprigs, and round the rim, a continuous stem with trefoil leaves. There is no pontil mark on the base
