Glasshouse: Unknown (Probably)
Transparent bluish-green glass , blown with applied thick and thin spirally-trailed threads round the neck. The vase stands on a circular foot. The bulbous lower part rises into a cylindrical neck, which expands towards the open mouth. There is a pontil mark in the middle of the base

Formerly attributed to Almeria in southern Spain, and dated to the 17th or 18th century. However, it seems more likely to have been made in Iran, probably 18th century, particularly as it came from a Iranian collection.
