MOVEMENT: Full plate movement engraved 'G Du Val A Paris'. Balance cock table and foot, pierced and engraved with wavy edge, foot elongated to the edge of the plate. Brass balance. Brass set-up worm wheel, steel worm with blued steel supports having fine pierced feet. Blued steel worm guard and pointer. Rectangular fusee iron post with decorated end. Blued steel case bolt screwed to pillar plate, nib through pillar plate. Rectangular potance riveted to top plate. Counter-potance, cock with decorated foot screwed to top plate. Pillar plate with four turned baluster pillars, second and third wheel bar. Cut out for potance. Dial side with zig-zag engraved border, with a scratch mark under the dial, 'Cotori' (unclear). Split gut fusee, barrel with top lip only. Shake hours. Verge escapment. Train, four pinions, planted anti-clockwise.
DIAL: White enamel on gold, outer pattern, ring, radial Roman chapters, quarter hour ladder ring with half-hour lines between chapters. Centre polychrome painting of child Jesus, with a lamb to his left and a landscape to the right. Back counter enamelled.
HAND: Blued steel, gold arrow, crescent tail.
CASE: Gold body with two recesses in band and one large recess in back which contains polychrome enamel, side panels of country scenes, and a back depiction of Madonna with Jesus and an angel. The inside of the case is plain gold. Bezel of pink gold bright cut. Gold ball turned pendant with a d section ring. Inside of the ring is chased, reading from the split 'Z: UX: J. GREEN A.'
