Verge watch in gold and enamelled case.
MOVEMENT: Full plate movement engraved 'J. Larpent & Jurgensen a Copenhague 743'. Bridge cock pierced and engraved with four off 'C' designs, small polished steel coquette. Brass balance. Silver regulation dial engraved with 'A' and 'R'. Plain blued steel hand. Chased fusee cock. Plate scratched 'No 289'. Turned fusee iron post. Adjustable potance. Counter-potance with polished steel end piece and adjusting screw, screwed to plate. Case bolt, with conical end, in slot in plate, nib under dial. Pillar plate with four turned pillars with tapered end at pillar plate. Recessed centre and third wheel. Under-dial, centre recessed, stamped '743, six dots on hinge, scratch at edge '1 1/4 Klnig'? Fusee and chain, set-up ratchet under dial, barrel with one lip. Verge escapement. Train planted anti-clockwise.
DIAL: White enamel on copper, three feet, counter enamel marked in white '743 no'. Outer radial Arabic 5 minute figures, dotted minute ring between light circles, three line 5 minute marks, radial Roman chapters, inner light circle. Centre marked 'Jac. Larpent' above centre and '& Jurgensen' under centre, both in straight lines. Winding hole at 1.30.
HANDS: Gold Louis XV type.
CASE: Gold and enamel consular. Bezel, with lip to project over body, chased and enamelled in white, blue, green and orange, flat scratched '1708 itx'. Body chased and enamelled as bezel and with ring of raised wire work. Polychrome painted enamel plaque on girl releasing dove above the flames of a cylindrical altar of love on the back, in a marbled enamel frame. Inside of back scratched '816 XLIV', '103 SL/-/-'. Plain pendant with stirrup bow. Top of pendant stamped on side, twice on front, with eagle's head facing right and two anvil marks opposite, top stamped 'J. A' in shaped stamped, placed diagonally. Short snake gold chain. Crank gold key (A) with oval enamelled handle. Straight gold ratchet key (B) with circular handle.
