Verge alarm watch in silver pair case

MOVEMENT: Full plate movement engraved 'Franco Papillion in Firenze'. Large balance cock, table with ears, pierced and engraved with winding hole, foot pierced and engraved with thin edge. Brass balance. Slide plate, on each side of cock, pierced and engraved, silver regulation dial with Arabic figures 5 to 30. Alarm stop work missing. Wheel and pinion? Rectangular fusee iron post formed to lyre at end. Potance and counter-potance riveted to plate. Rectangular escap. hole with engraved lines and corners. Case bolt/spring on dial plate, nib through dial. Alarm barrel pierced and engraved, and screwed to plate. Alarm potance chased, potance and counter-potance screwed to plate. Pillar plate with five tulip pillars, second alarm wheel bridge with three feet. Split fusee, barrel with one lip, tangent set-up under barrel. Verge escapement. Train planted anti-clockwise. Steel three pinion alarm train planted anti-clockwise.

DIAL PLATE: Gilt brass with three ribbed turned feet, outer engraved band, sink for dial. Case bolt/spring with flat decorated tail

HAND: Blued steel, 'beaded' head and tail.

DIAL: Silver, narrow, radial Roman chapters with diamond shaped half hour marks. Ladder quarter hour ring with dots at hours, and four arrows as cross at half hours.

ALARM DISC: Silver, radial Arabic hours, ladder half hour ring, dots at hours, central flower. Alarm marker steel tulip riveted to edge of disc.

BELL: With two winding holes

INNER CASE: Silver, side pierced and engraved with flowers, foliage and faces, face and two snakes at 6 o'clock. Plain back with covers for winding holes, one missing. Ring, with joint pinned to inside of case. Bezel, plain and split. Stepped, cylindrical, pendant, cheese top, flat stirrup bow.

OUTER CASE (A): Silver frame, brass body pierced with sets of six holes. Covered with shagreen, much missing, and decorated with silver pins. Bezel, silver frame with brass edge with ring of silver pins, some missing.
