Verge watch in silver case
MOVEMENT: Full plate movement engraved 'Abraham Dufour'. Balance cock, pierced and engraved oval table and foot, both with irregular edge, foot with pointed. Steel balance. Tangent set-up, silver dial, radial Roman figures I to VI, over brass worm wheel. Steel worm with two blued steel supports with large open work feet. Rectangular fusee iron post with decorated end. Blued steel case bolt, with vertical pierced foot, nib through pillar plate, off-set from VI o'clock. Potance with engraved side riveted to plate. Counter potance rectangular with sides engraved, riveted to plate. Plug brazed in position. Pillar plate with four turned baluster pillars, second wheel bar. On dial side narrow engraved band. Split fusee, gut, barrel with two lips. Verge escapement. Train, three pinions, planted anti-clockwise. Shake hours.
DIAL: Silver, three feet. Outer ring radial Roman chapters and arrow head half-hour marks, ring with dots at hours, inner ring, centre engraved with floral design.
HAND: Brass, bulbous centre with plain baluster pointer and tail. The hand is short, only reaching about 2/3 to chapter ring.
CASE: Single silver, body and split bezel covered with gray shagreen, winding hole in body having rotating circular silver cover. Bulbous drop and pendant, plain ring bow. Scratched inside with '4187' and 'wd/-/-'.
