Lady's cylinder watch in gold enamelled case set with pearls, with chatelaine en suite.

MOVEMENT: Cock and bridge movement, barrel/centre bridge engraved 'Lepine A PARIS No. 270.' Plain balance cock engraved with regulation scale with 'A' and 'R' at ends, bell shaped end with bell shaped hole, polished steel regulator friction tight on boss of cock. Polished steel coquette. Gold balance. Third and fourth wheel cock, barrel and centre brdige engraved as above, escape cock under balance. Central plate with turned casing dial (?) and lip. Plate with holes for spring (barrel), balance, centre, third and fourth pinions, recess under dial with polished steel case bolt and spring and bottom plate. The bottom plate is flat, with barrel arbour and centre pivots. Bar for third fourth escape, and balance pivots, common polished steel coquette for balance and escape pivots. Plate stamped '2583'. Fixed mainspring. Cylinder escapement. Train planted clockwise.

DIAL: Gold, two feet. Dot minute ring, four dots at 5 minutes, radial Roman chapters, engine turned centre and rings outside chapters and minute ring. Winding hole at 3 o'clock. Back scratched 'H.F.S' over '1005', secured by screws in side of central plate.

HANDS: Blued steel Breguet type.

CASE: Gold enamelled and set with pearls. Body, back with outer ring of thirty-six pearls set in gold, centre engine turned, and enamelled in translucent grey enamel. Bezel, outer ring of thirty-five pearls set in gold. Pendant plain gold sphere on cone, top stamped '2583' over '2'. Bow gold, plain stirrup bow, one end with eligible stamp.

CHATELAINE (A): Clip stamped with two marks, a three-sided punch with fish inside, and a oval, with cross lines at ends, punched with "C" (?) inside. Paper label inscribed 'No. 192 40/-/-'. Gold clip plaque, oval with pierced pearls pinned to outside. Plaque enamelled with white line at edge around engine turned, with star, with translucent grey enamel. Centre applied star of set pearls, three chains to lower round plaque with pierced pearls pinned to outside, plaque centre engine turned with gray translucent enamel. Drops, a bell enamelled and with twisted gold wire drops and 'Breguet' type key. A bell shaped oval cut seal, oval ring of dots around stylised lovers knot. Centre chain to safety hook.
