Verge watch in gold and enamel case.
MOVEMENT: Full plate movement engraved 'Chevalier & Compe 7699', and inscribed on dial 'Chevalier & Compagnie'. Balance bridge pierced with 'CHEVALIER' and engraved, polished steel coquette. Brass balance. Silver regulation dial engraved with 'Avance' and 'Retarde', plain blued steel hand. Plain fusee cock and counter-potance. Plain turned fusee iron post. Polished steel case bolt, curved conical end. Adjustable potance. Counter-potance with polished steel end plate and adjustment screw to edge of plate. Pillar plate with four turned pillars, slighty tapered feet. Centre wheel recessed. Third wheel bridge. Under-dial, shallow centre recess, polished steel set-up click, scratched on plate '7699' over '5'. Fusee and chain, one lip on barrel, set-up click under dial. Verge escapement. Train planted anti-clockwise.
DIAL: White enamel on copper, convex, gilt edge, three feet, counter enamel inscribed '7699.' Vertical Arabic quarter figures, dotted minute ring, large dots at 5 mins., vertical Arabic chapters. 'Chevalise' under 12 and '& Compagnie' above 6 o'clock.
HANDS: Gold, beetle and poker.
CASE: Gold and enamel, consular. Plain edge, bezel with blue enamel ring with gold vine intertwined with white enamel strap. Similar band on back, white enamel band to slightly oval blue enamel band with intertwined gold lines and white enamel dots between. Centre very light blue with polychrome enamel painting of a gardener offering a rose to a lady. Rectangular pendant with blue enamel on the back and front, one edge stamped '2', plain overal stem to rectangular head, top stamped '7699'. Plain triangular section stirrup below.
