Lever watch in gold case.
MOVEMENT: Full plate movement engraved 'Thos Gray London 3834' on barrel bar. Balance cock with pierced and engraved table, a radial arched pattern and urn in oval frame at neck, blued steel end piece with diamond end stone, foot engraved. Polished steel balance. Slide plate engraved, silver regulation disc, radial Roman numbers, I to III. Plain barrel bar engraved as above. Plain moulded fusee iron post. Polished steel case bolt sliding in slot in plate. Potance screwed to back plate. Polished steel perpetual click and spring. Pillar plate with four turned pillars, sunk centre wheel. Third wheel bar. Cock for lower pivot of lever. Going fusee and chain with set-up ratchet under dial, 90 degree English lever with table roller. Third and fourth wheels with 5 crossings, high numbered train, third fourth and escap' pinions of 8. Train planted clockwise.
CAP: Signed on table 'Thos Gray No 3834 London', also small stamp of T in rectangle. Inside stamped 'LF'. The hole to expose the diamond end stone was increased in size after gilding.
DIAL: Off-white enamel on copper, ladder minute circle, radial Roman chapters.
HANDS: Blued steel, fleur-de-lis.
CASE: Gold, plain 18-carat double backed consular. Dome stamped on inside 'H, WW' and '18' and 'crown'. Also scratch marks '575' and '3691'. Back London HM 1825 and 'WW', also scratch marks '5863, 15/8/88, 14/9/80, 24/6/89, 22211, 4.2.92 I' and '5/4/67'. Pendant stamped with 'crown' and '18'.
