Verge watch in gold consular case.
MOVEMENT: Full plate movement signed 'Moricand & Degrange A GENEVE No 59168'. Balance bridge with pierced and engraved table, polished steel coquette. Brass balance wheel having banking pin in edge acting on ends of slide plate. Large silver regulating dial engraved 'ADVANCE' and 'RETARD'. Straight blued steel regulator hand. Square fusee iron post. Polished steel case bolt having truncated conical end, sliding in slot in plate, nib under dial. Adjustable potance, counter-potance screwed to back plate and has polished steel end piece with adjusting screw. Pillar plate with four turned pillars. Centre wheel sunk into pillar plate. '59168' stamped in pillar plate under dial. Fusee and chain, set up click under dial. Verge escapement. Train planted clockwise.
DIAL: Thin gold with polished raised minute ring, radial Roman chapters, inner ring and name plaque over VI o'clock. Matted behind chapters and engine turned centre. Winding hole at 1 o'clock. 'MORICAND & DEGRANGE' stamped in plaque. Edge of dial formed over pillar plate edge to secure.
HANDS: Spade and poker, blued steel.
CASE: 12 side coloured gold consular case with black and white enamelling in gold on back around an off centre coloured gold plaque. Inside case stamped '59168' and an illegible maker's mark in a lozenge (polished out).
