Foot engraved, curved from neck and straight sides, pointed end, hand set and winding holes through foot. Polished steel balance. Top plate has an engraved border and rings under balance. Turned fusee iron post. Potance screwed, and rectangular-counter potance riveted to plate, two tapped rectangular blocks to secure brass edge. Pillar plate with four turned pillars, ringed at ends. Hinged cuvette, back engraved 'M Hunot' above 'LONDON' all surrounded by engraved decoration. Two hands engraved from hand set hole and horse in harness pulling from winding hole, also 'No 471' engraved.
