Figure of a Gardener
Production: Würzburg Porcelain Factory
Porcelain figure, perhaps symbolic of Autumn, standing beside a pedestal on which is set an urn filled with a large flower and green leaves, the gardener holding a grape vine bearing fruit in his left hand, in his right hand an apple.
He wears a black tricorn hat, white waistcoast with flower spray decoration in puce, white breeches with puce stripes, while stockings and black shoes.
The base is flat with a step on which lay five apples, outlined in puce like the pedestal and urn above it.
