Verge alarm watch in silver pair case.

MOVEMENT: Full plate movement engraved 'Windemill London 328'. Balance cock with pierced and engraved tabled with ears, shell engraved at neck. Table modified by edge cut away for 180 degree for banking, foot pierced and engraved. Left hand half of foot missing, thin edge. Steel balance, brass banking pin in rim. Pierced and engraved slide plate, free form edge, silver regulation dial with radial Roman figures I to VI. Pierced 'T' shaped fusee iron post. Case bolt in brass edge, nib through dial. Potance and counter-potance, riveted to plate. Outside of alarm barrel chased. Alarm potance riveted, counter-potance screwed to plate. Pillar plate with five pillars, one plain square and four plain Egyptian. Bridge for alarm second wheel and contrate pinion. Under dial side scratched '1/2'. Fusee and chain, set-up click under barrel. Verge escapement. Train planted clockwise. Iron alarm train, brass main wheel, train planted anti-clockwise.

BRASS EDGE: Three feet, case bolt nib projecting through dial. Inscribed on back '1863 J. Beringer Helston'.

HAND: Single steel double-ended

DIAL: Silver, four feet. Radial Roman chapters with fleur-delis shaped half hour marks, ladder 1/4 hour circle, dot for hour and crossed lines at 1/2. Winding holes at 4 and 8 o'clock. Central silver alarm dial with radial Arabic chapters, setting knobs at 12 and 6 o'clock. Engraved centre design.

BELL: Scratched on back 'G R 8/12/16 LONDON'.

INNER CASE: Silver, pierced and engraved band of foliage and birds, centre plain, no maker's mark. Pendant cylindrical with disc end, stirrup bow.

OUTER CASE (A): Silver, plain, no maker's mark.

WATCH PAPER (B): 'PARK Fishergate PRESTON watch clock makers, Silversmith & Jewellers'.
