Verge repeating watch in gold case.

MOVEMENT: Full plate movement with cap engraved 'Eardley Norton London 1962'. Balance cock with table pierced and engraved with urn at neck, foot engraved, polished steel end piece and faceted off white end stone. Brass balance. Engraved slide plate covering whole of plate, silver regulation dial with Turkish numbers. Turned fusee iron post. Polished steel case bolt in plate and brass edge, nib under dial. Adjustable potance, counter-potance with polished steel end piece and adjusting screw, inside contrate arbour, screwed to plate. Plain repeating barrel. Pillar plate with four plain turned pillars. Centre wheel recessed. Third wheel bar. Fusee and chain, set-up click under slide plate, barrel with one lip. Verge escapement. Train planted clockwise. Two polished steel hammers, planted clockwise. Runners, five pinions, planted anti-clockwise with depthing pinion.

REPEATING WORK: Swiss 1/4 repeating work, polished, chain repeating rack, chain running around a pulley.

BRASS EDGE: Edge turned, fits over plate and secured by three screws under dial. Two holes in side to fix dial.

CAP: Oval table with hole to reveal end stone. Winding pipe. Semi-circular regulator hole with central index. Flat steel slide.

HANDS: Gilt brass Louis XVI form.

DIAL: White enamel on copper, two feet. Radial Arabic 5 minute figures, ladder minute ring, radial Roman chapters. Marked 'EARDLEY NORTON' under 12 and 'LONDON' above 6 o'clock.

BELL: Scratched on back 'S Merer fils'.

INNER CASE: Gold, pierced around edge, pierced leaves on bright cut branch, plain back. Plain bezel. Maker's stamp 'L&' above 'C' in fitting cameo. Scratched 'Gir and us 1962'. Plain pendant with cheese top having applied rosette, wide oval stirrup bow.
