Cylinder watch movement

MOVEMENT: Full plate movement engraved on barrel bar 'Rivers & Son No. 6115 Cornhill London'. Balance cock with table covered by, and made to take, two gold rings around a central gold box with glass cover containing hair. Central hole under the glass to expose a diamond end stone. Both gold rings are enamelled in black around inscriptions in gold. Outer ring inscription 'MARTHA DICKIN . NAT: 5 JAN 1780 . OB: 21 . JULY . 1835'. On the inner ring is the inscription 'KATHe DICKIN . NAT . 21 JULY 1737. OB 28 JUNE 1806.' Balance cock engraved. Polished steel balance. Blued steel regulation figure sprung into the top plate, pointing to engraved arched ladder scale marked 'Fast' and 'Slow'. Barrel bar engraved as above. Shaped fusee iron post. Polished steel case bolt with wings, in slot in plate, nib at side. Potance with moulding at end screwed to plate. Pillar plate with four turned and ribbed pillars. Centre wheel recessed, fourth wheel bridge. Under dial, plate stamped '16 8'. Fusee and chain with click set-up under dial. Cylinder escapement with brass wheel and steel cylinder. Clockwise train.

DIAL: White enamel, slightly curved, on copper, three feet. Ladder minute ring, short Roman chapters. Back mark 'R85' (?) and 'M'.

HANDS: Gold, hour hand short and broken, minute hand straight.

CAP: Large circular hole to miss disc on balance cock, short winding tube. Cap side with bump to clear barrel. Blued steel slide. Inside cap stamped 'RS', scratch mark '6115'.
