Description

Outer case covered with shagreen.

OUTER CASE: Gilt brass outer case, brass back and bezel band, covered in black shagreen. Bezel has ring of twenty-nine holes with plain gold pin above and below gap, black shagreen covers to edge of aperture. Body with nine sets of holes at edge, each pattern contained in 'swag' of gold pins with drops between. Centre of body back with large pattern made in gold pins. Pins of many sizes used in all decorations. A small portion of shagreen is missing from the body. Pendant slot in body only.
