Description

Gilt brass outer case covered in tortoise shell.

OUTER CASE: Well worn gilt brass covered with tortoiseshell painted on reverse with black areas above colouring in shell, and a light green background. Bezel covered with tortoiseshell with central ring of pins, ten sets of three pins with decorated heads, with plain headed pins between. (One set of three pins missing, three sets with one pin missing and four sets with two pins missing, four plain pins missing). Body covered with tortoiseshell with ring of pins, as bezel, at edge. (One set of three pins missing, four sets with one pin missing and one set with two pins missing, two plain pins missing, two decorative headed pins missing next to pendant.) Back with set of holes for large decorative pattern of pins. Pendant slot 3/4 in body and 1/4 in bezel.
