Potter: Abe, Anjin
Stoneware flower vase (hanaire) in the Bizen style. The vase is cylindrical with three pinched sides, and incised decoration. Woodfired with natural ash glaze. Impressed mark on base.
Signed box.
History note: Bought by John Shakeshaft at a Bonhams auction No.11509, Lot 137, on the 9th November 2004.
