Description

Footed stoneware tea bowl. Thrown? cut and altered. Base glaze is a pale mottled red/brown, partially covered with another glaze. This is dark blue where thick, and creamy blue where thinner. There are also some brown and gold flecks.
No visible mark.

History note: Bought by Shakeshaft from a 'Pots from France' exhibition, by Jack Blackburn of Youlgreave. No. CC1. 1st December 2001
