Potter: Champy, Claude
Porcelain footed celadon tea bowl. Freely hand built from a porcelain sheet, i.e. a broad strip making a cylinder on a base. The small foot ring seems to be carved from the base. Olive green inside and out, but the foot is unglazed. Some gouges on the side wall.
History note: Bought by Shakeshaft from a 'Pots from France' exhibition held by Jack Blackburn of Youlgreave. 29th August 2003
