Description

Wood-fired porcelaneous stoneware tea bowl with foot. Promiment throwings rings, grogged body. Creamy-grey natural ash glaze on one side and rim, light tan elsewhere. Small pool of greenish glass in well.
Accompanied by a fitted wooden box, signed in Japanese.

History note: Bought by Shakeshaft from the Oakwood Gallery in Edwinstowe (Nottinghamshire), 'Totally Teabowls' exhibition no. 241. 27th March 2004
