Description

Large stoneware vase. Deep black tenmoku glaze with three incised bands around the pot. Repeated impressed criss-cross motif made with a wooden paddle, the black glaze breaking to rust.
No mark. Fitted box.

History note: Bought by Shakeshaft from a Bonhams auction No. 31196, Lot 71. 14th May 2002
