Soft-paste porcelain teapot with double twig handle and floral knob, moulded with chrysanthemum sprays, glazed, and partly gilt
Soft-paste porcelain, moulded, glazed and gilded. The pot stands on a low footring, and has a globular body with double entwined handle with leaf terminals, and an upward curving spout with shaped moulding around junction with body. The domed cover has an internal flange which fits inside the neck of the pot, a ventilation hole, and flower finial with two leaves. A band of dentilated gilding encircles the lower edge of neck and edge of cover. The handle terminals, the moulding on the spout and its rim, the flower knob and leaves are picked out in gold.
