Soft-paste porcelain teapot, decorated with an underglaze-blue ground, reserves painted in polychrome enamels with flowers and foliage, and gilt.
Soft-paste porcelain, decorated with an underglaze-blue ground, painting in two-shades of green, yellow, pink, red, and purple enamels, and gilding. The globular pot stands on a footring and has a short cylindrical neck, an upward-tilting slightly curved spout, and a D-shaped loop handle. In the wall behind the spout there are five holes to emit the tea. The low domed cover has a ventilation hole and an applied knob in the shape of a flower on a stem with two leaves; the underside of its rim and the exterior of the flange which fits inside the neck of the pot are unglazed. The pot, cover, and handle have a dark underglaze-blue ground. On each side of the pot there is an inverted triangular reserve with a notch in its apex flanked by four circular reserves, all outlined in gold and filled with polychrome flowers and foliage. The large reserve has sprays of gold foliage springing from its edges at the top and bottom, and there is a spray of gold foliage on the back of the handle. The top and underside of the spout are decorated with a pink four-petalled flower with six dotted lines radiating from it. The cover is decorated to match with two triangular and three circular reserves. The flower knob has a yellow centre and pink petals.
