White jasperware with blue dip decorated with applied white jasper reliefs of classical figures sacrificing and trees

White jasper (? or stoneware) )with glazed interior, dark blue jasper dip on the exterior and applied white jasper moulded reliefs. Of depressed globular or low form standing on a footring, with a short upward-tilting spout, and D-shaped roll handle, centrally domed cover with a mushroom-shaped knob with a central ventilation hole. Inside the pot, behind the spout, there is a domed strainer pierced by sixteen holes to emit the tea. On one side of the pot, a woman with a billowing drape and a little boy watch a woman sacrificing at an altar with a ewer standing beside it. Further to the right is a small tree, and close to the handle, a taller tree flanked by low bushes. On the other side there is a tall tree flanked by plants next to the handle, and to the right, a woman holding a basin walking towards the tree. Behind her a heavily drfaped woman sacrifices at an altar, and a young man kneels beside it, holding down a sheep with his right hand. Behind him is a small tree and a low bush. A wreath of foliage encircles the junction of the spout and body and the upper end of the handle and body. The cover has a border of overlapping acanthus leaves.
