One side of the pot is decorated with a Chinese vendor with two oval parcels on pans suspended from a pole approaching a Chinese man, woman and child, and on the other, with a Chinese woman at a window and another standing outside in a garden. The figures are distinguished by having curved quiffs of hair on top of their heads.
