Description

Dark blue blown glass vase with applied slightly iridescent yellow glass rim, and trailed decoration. The globular vase bulges out on one side , and rises up into an oval mouth with a thick, uneven, projecting rim. The sides are decorated with a continuous spiral of yellow glass terminating under the rim.

History note: The maker; his widow, Mrs I. Yoshio Hamada by whom given through the TOM Gallery, 2-11-1 Shoto, Shibuya 150-0046, Tokyo, Japan
