Description

Reddish earthenware bowl. Sgraffito design cut through a white slip with green and brown stains in a clear glaze. On the inside is the bust of a woman in profile, with a border of rosettes etc. Unglazed exterior.

History note: Purchased in Padua. W.K. Foster Bequest 1892 to the Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology, Downing Street, Cambridge
