PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Parchment pasted on paper, 153 x 100 mm
DECORATION: Full-page miniature in grisaille: Flagellation set within an architectural frame with trees and foliage forming an arch over the scene.
History note: Sold as one of a set of related miniatures at Phillips, London, 20 October 1983, lot 467; purchased by Maggs who offered four miniatures in 1984 (Bulletin 12, nos. 96-99) and eight (including one of the previous four) in 1985 (Catalogue 1059, nos. 64-71); purchased from Maggs in 1984.
