Description

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Parchment: 46 x 88 mm, pasted on cardboard

SCRIPT: Gothic bookhand (textualis)

CONTENTS:
The second verse of Matins for the Hours of the Holy Spirit, Deus in adiutorium meum intende, can be discerned in the upper register of the image despite having been overpainted.

DECORATION:
Bas-de-page framed miniature showing the Virgin and seven apostles kneeling at the base of a hill, presumably witnessing Christ’s Ascension which was probably the subject of the main image above.
