Seated Official
Figure of a seated official. Stoneware, moulded, cream glazed, painted in brown and tan, and painted in underglazed iron. Hollow. The official leans backwards and sits with his legs apart. His left hand rests on his knee and his right hand holds the belt across his stomach. His dark-brown shoes peep out from under his cream gown, the edge of which is decorated with brown borders. A brown and tan motif is on his stomach and shoulders. He wears a brown official hat and tassels, beard and moustache. The back lower half of the figure and the foot are unglazed.
