Description

Vase. Hard-paste porcelain painted in underglaze-blue with iron-red and green enamels. Gourd shaped vase with twelve lobed, vertical panels, each decorated alternately in underglaze-blue, and iron-red and green, with waterbirds, fish and flowers. The mouth rim is unglazed on the exterior and beneath it is a band of scrolling lotus. The foot is slightly flared, with a flat, recessed base; above the footrim is a deep band dotted with small flower heads.
