Description

Bowl. Porcelain, painted in underglaze blue. The bowl is uneven, with flared sides resting on a low foot with flat, recessed, glazed base. It is decorated on the outside with two fishes with a lined border, and on the inside with a central medallion of a fish within a double-lined border and a triangle work border round the rim, all in underglaze-blue under a crackle glaze. Crudely made.

History note: H.S. Reitlinger (d.1950); the Reitlinger Trust, Maidenhead, from which transferred in 1991.
