Description

Bulbous jar. Hard-paste porcelain painted in underglaze blue. The jar has a wide, unglazed mouth rim, no neck, and rounded sides that taper to a flat unglazed base, with no footrim. The decoration has an incised, floral scroll border round the rim and an incised key-pattern border around base. It has a painted scene of fishermen in a rocky landscape, one seated at a table dreaming of four celestial maidens.
