Description

Ewer. Hard-paste porcelain painted in underglaze blue with iron-red enamel and gilding. The ewer is hexagonal shape, with a long neck and everted mouth rim, small spout, loop handle and slightly recessed, flat base. It is painted on either side with cauldrons and peonies within lobed panels and all-over with scrolling peonies. The spout and handle have a ribbon motif.
